Star Wars and Jen go hand in hand...so it is about time to make a Fun Oil Painting of our heroes Fox and Denali...dressed up as Jedi Knights. In this video, Jen will show you step by step her process and you can see her art unfold..... Of course, we don't just want to watch the video, right? We want to know more about the details that go into such a work of art. Jen has provided some feedback and tips that are very insightful... Jen: "Art Tip #1: Circles are one of the hardest shape to get even when free hand drawing, but there are some tricks to help. #1, mark you center and use an object with the radius that you desire to mark the circumference. #2 use a tool called a compass with point at the center and pencil drawing the circumference. " Jen: "Art Tip #2: When you are trying to do a split canvas piece on the easel, it helps to have something behind to support them so the seam merges nicely...for this piece I used a spare canvas." Jen: "Art Tip #3 This part of the process may look more like something I drew in kindergarten than the final thing, but it's just breaking the dog down into shapes and giving me an idea of perspective." Jen: "Art Tip #4 As you fill in the details and map out further guidelines to get things symmetrical, it's important to step back and view the sketch from different angles to catch any tweaks that need to be made." Jen: "Smile because you have a great sketch and next comes the fun part, painting it!" Would you like to see how this Sketch will become a finished Oil Painting?
