MEET DENALI OUR STORY
This is Denali, our rescued fur kid. It was love at first sight for our family and this fluffy husky mix. Lucky Dog Animal Rescue quickly aided us through the adoption screening and this cute little guy leapt into my arms with puppy kisses galore. We had a few blissful years together, until things took an unexpected and tragic turn in June of 2016. Over the course of a week our happy, bouncy pup deteriorated into a whimpering fur baby stumbling in pain. Despite getting him immediate care, it was too late. We went to three different veterinarians, ultimately turning to an animal neurology center where an MRI revealed that he had a brain tumor. The tumor was 1/3 the size of his brain, located deep in the center, and there was already hemorrhaging. We had to say goodbye to him the same day we received the diagnosis. He was only five years old. We were (and still are) devastated, left with our grief and the overwhelming vet bills.
Denali and I have long stood as a force for positivity and hope - supporting various dog rescues and charity cases. Now we need your help. Introducing the Hearts for Denali Collection. 10% of proceeds from this collection will be donated to animal rescue, supporting dogs like Denali who are still searching for their loving home. The rest will help us recuperate the cost of Denali's vet care during his final week.
