Root Personal Health
BRAND IDENTITY AND DESIGN PROCESS
I had the honor of working with Jacinda Stroud, the founder of Root Personal Health, to develop the Colorado brand's identity and design from the ground up.

We started by capturing a professional headshot of Jacinda, which inspired the color palette.
My aim was to curate a palette with a subtle earthy tones, accentuated with blue—a hue synonymous with trust and support within the health industry. The hues captured from the blue spruce in the background of Jacinda's portrait are quintessential colors for Colorado. Combining these blues with neutral, peach, and coral tones evokes an earthy Southwestern feel that radiates warmth, reliability, and compassion. |
Colors that Communicate...
Next, we looked deeper and defined what elements will compose Root's brand identity and style inspiration. I created the Brand Design Workbook to guide clients as they explore the key components of themselves, their target audience, and their business/organization that we will be infusing into their brand design.
After Jacinda completed her workbook, I analyzed her answers and used them to build her design brief. The design brief zeros in on the overall feel of the brand and gives clients an idea of the direction we will be going before creating their logo. It is an exciting step where we start to see the design come together and make further stylistic decisions. |
